At Least 20 Students Arrested in Tehran
Breathing in Confinement – Up to the end of the fifth day of the protests in Iran, at least 20 students have been arrested in Tehran.
According to reports obtained by Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran (PRLI), at least 20 students were arrested in Tehran and transferred to Ward 209 of Evin prison, on January 1.
According to this report, Sina Rabiei is one of those students who was arrested in front of Tehran University on December 30.
On the same day, four Sufi students were arrested with violence and at Tehran Day hospital.
Kasra Noori, Mohammad Sharifi Moghadam, Faezeh Abedipour and Mohammad Reza Darvish are on hunger strike since they were arrested.
Pedram Pazireh is another student of Tehran University who was arrested on December 31.
Most students were arrested after leaving the university.
Ali Mozaffari, Romina Mohseni, Mohammad Khani, Parvin Mohammadi, Sina Ghaffari, Majid Mosafer, Siavash Amjadi, Sama Derakhshani, Soheib Weisi, Ehsan Mohammadi and Leyla Hosseinzadeh are among those students who were “kidnapped” at different places or after leaving the university.
Also, four members of the students’ council were arrested following a meeting with the head of the University of Tehran, who were released after other students gathered at the university’s headquarters for several hours.
