Breathing in Confinement – At least 20 Arab activists were arrested during the Intelligence Agents’ attack on Hamzeh Town in Dezful.

According to the reports obtained by “Breathing in Confinement,” during a night invasion by the Intelligence Agents on the houses of a number of Arab activists in Hamzeh Town in Dezful, 20 people were arrested and transferred to an unknown location, on August 23.

According to local human rights activists, 20 Arabs in “Hamza Town”, in Dezful, were arrested without legal permission of the court in their own houses and were transferred to an unknown location, at 3 am on Tuesday August 23.

The identities and names of only 16 of the detainees have been determined so far, as follows:

Ashoor Khosraji, PhD in Arabic Literature, 38 years old, Karim Saedi, Jamil Savari, Hamid Savari, Ali Chanani, Ghasem Chanani, son of Marjan, Kamal Savari, son of Reza, Sad Obeidavi, son of Mohbas, Ahmad Heidari, Mokhtar Silavi, son of Hanoon, Mohammad Savari, son of Mazhar, Jasem Gharbavi, son of Mohammad, Ghasem Ghabavi, son of Mohammad, Fazel Obeidavi, son of Gheis, Seyed Mousa Mousavi, son of Seyed Rahim, Saeid Heidari, son of Mehdi, poet.

The reason for arresting this number of people was their activities on social networks such as Facebook, WhatsApp and Telegram.
