Breathing in Confinement – At dawn on Saturday, March 7, 2025, the execution of at least one prisoner who had been arrested on charges of “murder” and sentenced to death was carried out in Khorramabad Prison.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner was executed at dawn on Saturday, March 7, 2025, in Parsilon Prison, Khorramabad. The identity of this prisoner, Mohammad Javad (Afshin) Hassanvand, has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.

As per the reports received by Breathing in Confinement, Mohammad Javad (Afshin) Hassanvand, son of Karam Ali, a resident of Alishtar in Lorestan Province, was arrested six years ago on murder charges and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Saturday, March 7, in Khorramabad Prison.
