Breathing in Confinement, Sunday, 12 July 2026: The death sentences of at least two prisoners, who had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on drug-related charges, were carried out at Shiraz Prison.

According to reporters from Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, the executions were carried out in the early hours of Sunday, 12 July. The identities of the prisoners have been confirmed as Hossein Rahim Khanli and Morad Iran Manesh.

According to the report, Hossein Rahim Khanli, from Jahrom, and Morad Iran Manesh had previously been arrested on drug-related charges and sentenced to death. Their death sentences were carried out at dawn on Sunday, 12 July 2026, in Shiraz Prison.
