Breathing in Confinement – At dawn on Saturday, 29 March 2025, the death sentence of at least one prisoner, who had been convicted of murder, was carried out in Arak Prison.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner was executed in Arak Prison on the morning of 29 March 2025. The identity of the prisoner has been confirmed as Yasser Roshani.

As reported by Breathing in Confinement, quoting the human rights organisation Hengaw, Yasser Roshani, a resident of Dorud, Lorestan, had been arrested four years ago on charges of murder and subsequently sentenced to death. His execution was carried out at dawn on Saturday, 29 March 2025, in Arak Prison.
