Breathing in Confinement – The death sentence of at least one prisoner, who had been arrested and convicted of murder, was carried out in the Central Prison of Tabriz.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at dawn on Wednesday, 30 July 2025, a prisoner was executed in Tabriz Prison. The identity of the prisoner has been confirmed as Yousef Amiri.

Yousef Amiri, 28 years old, was arrested four years ago on charges of murder and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out in the early hours of Wednesday, 30 July 2025, in Tabriz Prison.

Annual Report on Executions in Iran
