Breathing in Confinement – The bodies of 6 Sunni prisoners who were executed in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj have been buried without their families’ presence.

According to the report of “Breathing in confinement”, bodies of Hamed Ahmadi, Jamshid  and Jahangir Dehghani, Kamal Molaei, Hadi hosseini and Sadigh Mohammadi who were hanged in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj, were buried without the presence of their families at Bibi Sakina cemetery in Kamal Shahr.

A member of their families, in a conversation, told reporter of “Breathing in Confinement”, “At about 5 o’clock in the morning of 4th of March, after an hour of uncertainty, officials told the families in order to get their children’s bodies, they should go to Bibi Sakina cemetery, in Kamal Shahr, in Karaj.”

This source added, “After the family’s arrival there, and after a long wait, they were told that they have to wait until 8 am. Then the families were asked to wait until 2 pm to get the prosecutor’s permission. But, when they realized that the families are calm and just demand their children’s bodies, then they said they were not going to deliver the bodies of their children and they are only allowed to wash and bury them. ”

Finally, he said, “However after a few hours, they did not act on their promises and at 4 pm they said only one representative of each family would be allowed to do identify their children. Then the other family members, who were about 50 people, were forced with violence and brutality to leave the cemetery, and finally they said that they will wash the bodies and the family members are just allowed to pray (The dead body’s Salat) for them, and security forces will bury the bodies.”
