22 Prisoners Executed During 2 Days in Iran

Breathing in Confinement – At least 22 prisoners were hanged during two days in 3 different prisons in Iran.

Human rights sources have reported that only on 5 May 25, 11 prisoners have been hanged in Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj.

HRANA News Agency has reported that these prisoners were all between 22 to 25 years old and one of them was a juvenile at the time of committing the alleged crime.

According to this report; Javad Khorsand, Iman Fatemipur, Hossein Mohammadi, Masoud Raghedi son of Bakhshayesh, Mohsen Agha Mohammadi son of Agha Mohammad, Farhad Bakhshsayesh, Mehdi Rajaei, and Asghar Azizi on charge of murder and Khosro Robatdasti on charge of rape were hanged from gallows.

Mehdi Rajaei was 16 years old at the time of arrest.

Also, 8 prisoners were executed in two other cities of the country on May 24.

Human Rights in Iran has reported that six prisoners from central prison of Karaj, who had been transferred to Ghezelhesar prison, had been hanged for drug-related charges.

HRANA News Agency has announced the identity of one of them as Rohullah Roshangar.

The same source has announced 2 other executions in Adelabad prison in Shiraz.

These two prisoners were executed on charges of drug related crimes, on May 24.

HRANA has announced the identity of one of these two as Hadi Shekasteh.

Baloch Activists Campaign has identified the second prisoner as Moslem Mahmoud Zehi Khash.
