5 public hangings in Karaj and Shiraz

Breathing in Confinement – 5 prisoners have been hanged in public in Shiraz and Karaj, today morning.

According to the report of the judiciary of Fars province, 4 men have been executed in public in Shiraz on August 6th morning.

The report says that 2 men identified as Abdollah-Gh and Soleyman-Gh have been hanged on charge of sodomy. Since the report does not mention any kind of rape they might have been hanged because of being homosexuals.

Other 2 men identified as Ebadollah-H and Hossein-T have been hanged on charge of armed robbery and rape.

The state run Fararou website has also published the report of 1 public execution in Karaj.

The man is identified as Reza Fallah Banat Kuki, 28, and has been hanged after being whipped 100 times in public.

On Sunday, August 3rd, 3 other prisoners were hanged in public in Shiraz.

Considering the today’s 8 public executions, there have been 50 prisoners hanged in public since Rohani’s presidency.
