According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner was hanged in Kerman Prison in the early hours of Saturday, 6 June 2026. The identity of the prisoner has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement as AbuzarNegarestani.

According to the report, Abuzar Negarestani, a resident of Kerman, had previously been arrested on charges of murder and was subsequently sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out in the early hours of Saturday, 6 June 2026, in Kerman Prison.
