Breathing in Confinement: At dawn on Wednesday, November 20, the execution of at least one prisoner sentenced to death for “murder” was carried out in Adelabad Prison in Shiraz.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at dawn on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at least one prisoner convicted of “murder” was executed in Shiraz Central Prison. The identity of this prisoner, Amrollah Dehghani, has been confirmed by Breathing in Cinfinement.

As reported by Breathing in Confinement, Amrollah Dehghani, son of Sefidar and a resident of Kavar, was previously arrested and sentenced to death for “murder.” Breathing in Confinement reported yesterday the transfer of Amrollah Dehghani to solitary confinement in preparation for the execution. He was hanged at dawn on Wednesday, November 20, in the courtyard of Adelabad Prison in Shiraz.

Annual Report on Executions in Iran
