At dawn on Sunday, April 27, 2025, the death sentence of at least one prisoner, who had been arrested and convicted on charges related to drug offenses, was carried out in Isfahan Central Prison.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner was hanged at dawn on Sunday 27 April, in Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan. His identity, Rouhollah Shahriari, has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.
According to the report, Rouhollah Shahriari, a resident of Zahedan, had been arrested two years ago on charges related to drug offenses and was subsequently sentenced to death. The execution was carried out at dawn on Sunday, April 27, 2025, in Isfahan Central Prison.

Annual Report on Executions in Iran
