Breathing in Confinement – The death sentence of at least one prisoner convicted of “murder” was carried out in Nahavand Prison.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner was hanged on Wednesday, 9 July 2025, in Nahavand Prison. The prisoner has been identified by Breathing in Confinement as Ahmad Ali Mahdinejad.
Ahmad Ali Mahdinejad, a resident of Sahneh (a town in Kermanshah province), had been arrested on charges of “murder” and sentenced to death. His execution was carried out at dawn on Wednesday, 9 July 2025, in Nahavand Prison.
