Breathing in Confinement – At dawn on Monday, November 11, 2024, the execution of at least one prisoner convicted of premeditated murder was carried out in Zahedan Prison.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner sentenced to death for premeditated murder was executed in Zahedan Prison early on Monday, November 11, 2024. The identity of this prisoner has been confirmed as Amirhossein Jahan Tigh by Breathing in Confinement.

According to the Breathing in Confinement’s reporter, Amirhossein Jahan Tigh, a 23-year-old resident of Jahan Tigh village, located in the Baharan district of Gorgan County, was arrested two and a half years ago while serving his military service in the Milak border region. Following a verbal altercation, he was physically assaulted by his superior officer, a lieutenant, and in response, he shot and killed the lieutenant. He was subsequently arrested on charges of premeditated murder and sentenced to death.

The execution was carried out at dawn on Monday, November 11, in Zahedan Prison.
