Breathing in Confinement: At dawn on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, the execution of at least one prisoner who had been arrested on charges of “murder” and sentenced to death was carried out in Shiraz Central Prison (Adelabad).
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner was executed in Shiraz Central Prison (Adelabad) on the morning of Wednesday, February 26, 2025. The identity of the prisoner, Seyed Jalal Hashemizadeh Haghighi, has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.
Based on reports received by Breathing in Confinement, Seyed Jalal Hashemizadeh Haghighi, the son of Seyed Mashallah and a resident of Shiraz, had previously been arrested on charges of “murder” and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Wednesday, February 26, in Shiraz Central Prison (Adelabad).
