Breathing in Confinement – At dawn on Thursday, February 27, 2025, the execution of at least one prisoner sentenced to death on drug-related charges, was carried out in Dastgerd Prison, Isfahan.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, one prisoner was executed in Isfahan Central Prison on Thursday morning, February 27, 2025. The identity of the prisoner has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement as Morteza Jafari (Amouchi).

Based on the information received by Breathing in Confinement, Morteza Jafari, known as Amouchi, son of Hassan Ali, and a resident of Khomeini Shahr, had previously been arrested on drug-related charges and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Thursday, February 27, in Dastgerd Prison, Isfahan.
