Breathing in Confinement: At dawn on Sunday, February 23, 2025, the execution of at least one prisoner who had been arrested on charges of “murder” and sentenced to death was carried out in Parsilon Prison, Khorramabad.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner was executed in Khorramabad Central Prison on the morning of Sunday, February 23, 2025. The identity of the prisoner, Mohammadreza Rezaei, has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.
Based on reports received by Breathing in Confinement, Mohammadreza Rezaei, the son of Abdolreza and a resident of Poldokhtar, was arrested in 2022 on charges of “murder” and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Sunday, February 23, in Khorramabad Central Prison.
As of the time of this report, the execution of this prisoner has not been announced by official resources.
