Breathing in Confinement – On Tuesday, 3 February 2026, the death sentence of at least one prisoner, who had previously been arrested on charges of “murder” and sentenced to execution, was carried out at Tabriz Prison.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, in the early hours of Tuesday, 3 February 2026, a prisoner was hanged at Tabriz Prison. The identity of the executed prisoner has been confirmed as Farhad Karimzadeh.
Farhad Karimzadeh, a native of Hashtrud, had previously been arrested on charges of “murder” and sentenced to death by the judiciary. The sentence was carried out in the early hours of Tuesday, 3 February 2026, at Tabriz Prison.
