According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at dawn on Sunday, 21 September 2025, a prisoner was executed in Gachsaran Prison. The identity of this prisoner, “Hossein Mousavi,” has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.
Hossein Mousavi, 31, from Abadan, had been arrested seven years ago on drug-related charges and sentenced to death. His sentence was carried out at dawn on Sunday, 21 September 2025, in Gachsaran Prison.
