Breathing in Confinement – The death sentence of at least one prisoner who had been arrested on a charge of murder was carried out in Ghezel Hesar Prison.
According to Breathing in Confinement, at dawn on Wednesday, 22 October 2025, a prisoner was hanged in Ghezel Hesar Prison. The prisoner’s identity, Mansour Iravani, has been verified.
Mansour Iravani, son of Changiz and from Shahriar, had previously been arrested on a murder charge and sentenced to death. He was transferred to solitary confinement a month ago for execution, but the sentence was stayed for one month and he was returned to the general ward. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Wednesday, 22 October 2025, in Ghezel Hesar Prison
