Breathing in Confinement – The death sentence of at least one prisoner who had previously been arrested on charges related to “drug offences” and sentenced to death has been carried out in Mashhad Prison.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at dawn on Thursday, 27 November 2025, a prisoner was hanged in Mashhad Prison. The identity of the prisoner, Mohsen Azizfarrokhani, has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.
Mohsen Azizfarrokhani, known as “Mohsen Kordeh,” from Mashhad, had previously been arrested on charges of possessing and transporting 700 grams of drugs and was sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Thursday, 27 November 2025, in Mashhad Prison.
