Breathing in Confinement: The death sentence of at least one prisoner, who had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on a charge of “murder,” has been carried out in Shiraz Prison.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at dawn on Wednesday, 3 June 2026, a prisoner was executed in Shiraz Prison. Breathing in Confinement has confirmed the identity of the prisoner as Dariush Kalaku.
According to the report, Dariush Kalaku, a resident of Shiraz, had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on a charge of murder. The sentence was carried out in the early hours of Wednesday, 3 June 2026, in Shiraz Prison.
