Breathing in Confinement – At dawn on Monday, February 3, 2025, the death sentence of at least one prisoner, who had been arrested and sentenced to death on charges of “Baghi” (armed rebellion against the Islamic ruler), was carried out at Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner was executed early Monday morning, February 3, in Mashhad Central Prison on charges of “Baghi.” The identity of the executed prisoner, Hafiz Bani Asadi, has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.
According to the information obtained by Breathing in Confinement, Hafiz Bani Asadi, a resident of Kahnuj, had previously been arrested on charges of “Baghi” through armed action and sentenced to death. The issued sentence was carried out at dawn on Monday, February 3, at Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad.
