Breathing in Confinement – At dawn on Sunday, February 2, the execution of at least one prisoner convicted on drug-related charges was carried out in Kermanshah’s Diesel-Abad Prison.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner sentenced to death for drug-related offenses was executed in Kermanshah’s Diesel-Abad Prison early on Sunday, February 2. The identity of this prisoner has been confirmed as Afshin Amiri by Breathing in Confinement.

According to the Breathing in Confinement’s reporter, Afshin Amiri, son of Mohammad Reza, was a resident of Golestan village, a district of Firouzabad, Kermanshah. He was arrested six years ago on drug-related charges and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Sunday, February 2, in Kermanshah Prison.
