Breathing in Confinement – The death sentence of at least one prisoner convicted of “murder” was carried out in Isfahan.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at dawn on Monday, 6 October 2025, a prisoner was executed in Dastgerd Prison, Isfahan. The identity of the prisoner has been confirmed as Ahmad Arzani. Another prisoner with a known identity was transferred to solitary confinement at the same time; their status is under review.
Ahmad Arzani, a resident of Isfahan, had previously been arrested on a charge of “murder” and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Monday, 6 October 2025, in Dastgerd Prison, Isfahan.
