According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, one individual was executed at Kerman Prison in the early hours of Monday. The identity of the prisoner has been confirmed by the organisation as Ali Akbar Mirzaei.
According to the report, Ali Akbar Mirzaei had been arrested on charges related to drug offences and was sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Monday, 26 May 2025, at Shahab Prison in Kerman.
