Breathing in Confinement – The death sentence of at least one prisoner convicted of “murder” was carried out at Khorramabad Central Prison.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on the morning of Monday, 18 August, one prisoner was hanged at Khorramabad Central Prison. His identity has been confirmed as Ali Omidi-Moghaddam.
Ali Omidi-Moghaddam, from Veysan in Lorestan Province, had previously been arrested following a conflict that resulted in “murder” and was sentenced to death. The execution was carried out at dawn on Monday, 18 August 2025, at Khorramabad Central Prison.
