Breathing in Confinement – The death sentence of at least one prisoner convicted of “murder” was carried out in Kerman Prison.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on Tuesday, 9 September 2025, a prisoner was hanged in Kerman Prison. The identity of this prisoner has been confirmed as Ali Rezvayi.
Ali Rezvayi, a native of Kerman, had in July 2023, during a dispute, shot and killed his friend and acquaintance, Alireza Shahriarpanah, the goalkeeper of Mes Kerman’s youth team, with several rounds from a hunting rifle. He was tried in the criminal court and sentenced to death. The verdict was carried out at dawn on Tuesday, 9 September 2025, in Kerman Prison.
