Breathing in Confinement – The death sentence of at least one prisoner who had been arrested on the charge of “murder” and sentenced to death was carried out in Jiroft Prison.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, on Monday, 15 September 2025, a prisoner was hanged in Jiroft Prison. The identity of this prisoner, “Amir Hossein Hemmati,” has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement. The day before, Breathing in Confinement had reported his transfer to solitary confinement in preparation for the execution.
Amir Hossein Hemmati, 24, a resident of Anbarabad, had previously been arrested on the charge of “murder” and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Monday, 15 September 2025, in Jiroft Prison.
