Breathing in Confinement – The death sentence of at least one prisoner who had been arrested on charges of “murder” and sentenced to death was carried out in Yazd Prison.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at dawn on Thursday, 4 September 2025, a prisoner was hanged in Yazd Prison. The identity of this prisoner has been confirmed as Ebrahim Safarzai (Mingel) by Breathing in Confinement. The outlet had reported yesterday that a Baloch prisoner had been transferred to solitary confinement for the implementation of his sentence.
Ebrahim Safarzai (Mingel), son of Ghafour, 22, originally from Zahedan and residing in Yazd, was arrested four years ago on charges of “murder” and sentenced to death. He was transferred to solitary confinement yesterday and had his final meeting with his family. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Thursday, 4 September 2025, in Yazd Prison.
