Breathing in Confinement – At dawn on Monday, 21 April 2025, the execution of at least one prisoner who had been arrested and sentenced to death on charges of murder was carried out at Sepidar Prison in Ahvaz.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner was hanged in the early hours of Monday, 21 April 2025, at the Central Prison of Ahvaz. The identity of this prisoner has been confirmed as Mahan Heidari.
As reported by Breathing in Confinement, Mahan Heidari, a resident of Masjed Soleyman and a Bakhtiari citizen from the Zalki tribe, had previously been arrested on charges of murder and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Monday, 21 April 2025, at Sepidar Prison in Ahvaz.

Annual Report on Executions in Iran
