According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at dawn on Wednesday, 1 October 2025, a prisoner was hanged in the Central Prison. The identity of this prisoner, Mehdi Moradi, has been verified by Breathing in Confinement.
Mehdi Moradi, from Borujerd, had been arrested eight years ago on a charge of “murder” and sentenced to death. His sentence was carried out at dawn on Wednesday, 1 October 2025, in Karaj Central Prison.
