Breathing in Confinement – The death sentence of at least one prisoner convicted of “murder” was carried out in Gonbad Prison.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at dawn on Wednesday, 29 October 2025, a prisoner was hanged in Gonbad Prison. The identity of the executed prisoner has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement as Mohammad Toghderi.
Mohammad Toghderi, a resident of Chay Qushan Bozorg village in the Gonbad region, had previously been arrested and sentenced to death on charges of “murder.” The sentence was carried out at dawn on Wednesday, 29 October 2025, in Gonbad Prison.
