Breathing in Confinement – The death sentences of at least two prisoners, one of whom had been convicted of “murder,” were carried out in Shiraz Prison.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at dawn on Sunday, 26 October 2025, two prisoners were executed in Shiraz Prison. The identities of the executed prisoners have been confirmed as Mousa Mohammadi and Mohammadreza Nazari. The charge against the second prisoner is still under investigation.
Mousa Mohammadi, a resident of Saadi Town in Shiraz and originally from Tabriz, had previously been arrested on charges of “murder” and sentenced to death. Mohammadreza Nazari, a native of Shiraz, had also been arrested earlier and sentenced to death. The sentences were carried out at dawn on Sunday, 26 October 2025, in Shiraz Prison.
