Breathing in Confinement: At dawn on Wednesday, 1 January, the death sentence of at least one prisoner convicted of “murder” was carried out in Yasuj Prison.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner convicted of “murder” was executed on the morning of Wednesday, 1 January, in Yasuj Prison. The identity of the prisoner, Pejman Masoudi Koushk, has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.

Based on information provided by Breathing in Confinement’s reporter, Pejman Masoudi Koushk, a resident of Yasuj, was arrested seven years ago on charges of “murder” and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Wednesday, 1 January, in Yasuj Prison.

Annual Report on Executions in Iran
