According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at dawn on Monday, 6 October 2025, a prisoner was executed in Saveh Prison. The identity of this prisoner has been confirmed as Seyed Abolfazl Seyed Hosseini.
Seyed Abolfazl Seyed Hosseini, a resident of Saveh and father of three young daughters, had previously been arrested on charges of murdering a man named Rasouli during a dispute and was sentenced to death. Efforts to obtain the victim’s family’s consent (to forgive or accept compensation) were unsuccessful, and the sentence was carried out at dawn on Monday, 6 October 2025, in Saveh Prison.
