Execution of Two Prisoners Carried Out in Isfahan Prison

Breathing in Confinement – At dawn on Monday, February 17, 2025, the execution of at least two prisoners who had been arrested and sentenced to death on charges related to “drug offenses” was carried out in Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, two prisoners were executed in Isfahan Central Prison at dawn on Monday, February 17, 2025, on charges related to “drug offenses.” The identities of these prisoners have been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement as Nasrollah Hosseini (Bakhtiari) Doraki and Ali Es’haqian.
According to information obtained by Breathing in Confinement, Nasrollah Hosseini (Bakhtiari), a resident of Dorak Anari in Kiar County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, had been arrested 15 years ago on charges related to “drug offenses” and sentenced to death. He had been transferred to solitary confinement on Saturday in preparation for the execution. Ali Es’haqian, a resident of Zarrin Shahr, had also been arrested on similar charges and sentenced to death. The sentences were carried out at dawn on Monday, February 17, in Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan.

Annual Report on Executions in Iran
