Breathing in Confinement – The death sentences of at least two prisoners who had been arrested on charges of “murder” and drug-related offences were carried out in Isfahan.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at dawn on Monday, 29 September 2025, two prisoners were hanged in Isfahan Prison. The identities of the prisoners — Milad Kiani and Behnam Mir-Ahmadi — have been verified by Breathing in Confinement. The outlet had previously reported the transfer of two prisoners to solitary confinement in Isfahan Prison in preparation for execution.
Milad Kiani, from Mina Dasht, Falavarjan, had earlier been arrested on a charge of “murder” and sentenced to death. Behnam Mir-Ahmadi, from Isfahan, had previously been arrested on drug-related charges and sentenced to death. Their sentences were carried out at dawn on Monday, 29 September 2025, in Isfahan Central Prison.
