Breathing in Confinement: At dawn on Tuesday, November 26, the death sentence of a prisoner who had been sentenced to execution on charges of “murder” was carried out at Saqqez Prison.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at least one prisoner was executed at dawn on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, on murder charges in Saqqez Prison. The identity of the prisoner, Jahangir (Muslim) Rahimi, was confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.

As per the reporter of Breathing in Confinement, Jahangir Rahimi, from the village of Taher Baghdeh, was arrested three years ago on charges of murdering a cleric named Salahuddin and was sentenced to execution. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Tuesday, November 26, in Saqqez Prison.

Annual Report on Executions in Iran
