According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, a prisoner was hanged in Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad early on Thursday morning. The identity of the executed individual has been confirmed as Mohammad Ebrahim Esfandiari.

According to the report, Mohammad Ebrahim Esfandiari, a resident of Mashhad, had previously been arrested on charges of murder and sentenced to death by the Criminal Court of Razavi Khorasan Province. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Thursday, 15 May, in Vakilabad Prison, Mashhad.
