Breathing in Confinement – At dawn on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, the death sentence of a prisoner convicted of murder was carried out in Sepidar Prison in Ahvaz.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, the prisoner—Mohammad Salamat—was executed early Wednesday morning in Sepidar Prison. His identity has been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.
Mohammad Salamat, a resident of Ahvaz, had previously been arrested on charges of murder and sentenced to death. The execution was carried out at dawn on April 30, 2025, in Sepidar Prison, Ahvaz.

Annual Report on Executions in Iran
