Breathing in Confinement – The death sentence of at least one prisoner who had been arrested on a charge of “murder” and sentenced to death was carried out in Qorveh Prison.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at dawn on Wednesday, 20 August, a prisoner was executed in Qorveh Prison. His identity has been confirmed by this human rights organisation as Amir Mohammad Faroughi.
Amir Mohammad Faroughi, 26, son of Hamzeh, from the village of Hajiabad Seyed in Qorveh County, had previously been arrested on a charge of “murder” and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Wednesday, 20 August 2025, in Qorveh Prison.
