According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at dawn on Sunday, 31 August, a prisoner was hanged in Zahedan Prison. His identity has been confirmed by this human rights organisation as Hamed Barahouei, 25, from Zahedan.
He had previously been arrested on a charge of “murder” and sentenced to death. The sentence was carried out at dawn on Sunday, 31 August 2025, in Zahedan Prison.
