Breathing in Confinement – The death sentences of at least three prisoners who had previously been arrested on the charge of “murder” and sentenced to death have been carried out in Ghezel Hesar Prison.
According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at dawn on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, three prisoners were hanged in Ghezel Hesar Prison. The identities of these prisoners — Mohammad Hossein Khazaei, Davoud Najafi, and Farhad (surname unknown) — have been confirmed by Breathing in Confinement.
Mohammad Hossein Khazaei, from Tehran, had previously been arrested on the charge of “murder” and sentenced to death.
Davoud Najafi had also been arrested in a separate case on the charge of “murder” and sentenced to death.
Farhad, an Afghan national (surname unknown), had previously been arrested on the charge of murdering a Kurdish citizen named Ramin and was sentenced to death.
The sentences were carried out at dawn on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, in Ghezel Hesar Prison.
