Breathing in Confinement – Sirvan Najhavi, Kurdish political prisoner in Tabriz Central Prison was hanged.

Also, another prisoner in the prison of Isfahan and 2 others in Mashhad were executed in public.
HRANA News Agency reported Sirvan Najhavi’s execution and quoted his brother as saying that “Tabriz Central Prison authorities have called his family to attend the prison to collect the body of the prisoner, on 9th August.”

He was transferred to solitary confinement the day before and was executed in the morning.

According to Hossein Najhavi, his brother, Sirvan Najhavi’s case had a delay in execution and the judicial authorities had not taken any contact with them and they had also not been called for the last visit.

This source also reported the execution of a prisoner, named Hossein Bozorgnejhad, 37 in the central prison of Esfahan.

He had been charged with drug trafficking and was hanged.
IRIB News Agency also reported the execution of two young 24 and 25 years old people by hanging in the public, in Mashhad.

These people were executed near the Hafez Square on charge of rape.
