Breathing in Confinement: At dawn on Sunday, December 22, the death sentences of at least three prisoners, who had previously been arrested and convicted on charges of “murder” and drug-related offenses, were carried out at Chubin Dar Prison in Qazvin.

According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Right League in Iran, the three prisoners executed were identified by Breathing in Confinement as Ali Rezaei, Sadegh Johari, and Karim Oladi.

Based on information from Breathing in Confinement, Ali Rezaei (Kalpi), son of Mostafa and a resident of Shal town in Qazvin, was previously arrested and sentenced to death on charges of “murder” during a dispute over personal matters. Sadegh Johari, a 60-year-old from Tabriz, was arrested in 2019, and Karim Oladi, a 35-year-old from Qazvin, was arrested in 2021 in two separate cases. Their death sentences were carried out at dawn on Sunday, December 22, at Chubin Dar Prison in Qazvin.

Annual Report on Executions in Iran
