According to Breathing in Confinement, the news outlet of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, at dawn on Wednesday, December 18, two prisoners convicted of “murder” in separate cases were executed in Mahabad Prison. The identities of these prisoners have been confirmed as Jamal Naboure and Rahim Barin.
Jamal Naboure, son of Mohammad and a resident of the village of Khanegi, was arrested two years ago on charges of “murder.” Rahim Barin, son of Aziz and a resident of Mahabad, was previously arrested and sentenced to death for the “murder” of an officer. The executions were carried out at dawn on Wednesday, December 18, in Mahabad Prison.
