A Civil Rights’ Activist Arrested in Tehran

Breathing in Confinement – Ali (Amir) Amirgholi, civil rights’ activist, has been detained since 20 days ago by the Security Forces.

According to the report of “Breathing in Confinement”; at miidnight on 1st December, security officers went to his father’s house and arrested him.

This activist’s father announced on his Facebook page that his home has been searched and his son’s personal items have been confiscated.

According to Mr. Abbas Amirgholi, officers with a warrant of arrest from branch 6 of Shahid Moghadas Court, entered the house and arrested Amir Amirgholi.

That is to say, this civil rights’ activist had previously been summoned by the same court to provide some explanation on 22nd of October 2014.

Ali Amirgholi had been arrested on 9th October in Tehran in a demonstration in support of Kubani freedom fighters and was released after 24 hours after obtaining a commitment

It is worth noting, there is no information yet about the reason of his arrest and about charges against.
