Breathing in Confinement: On Sunday, July 31, 2022, security agents in Karaj searched the homes and workplaces of some Baha’i citizens and arrested two of them and took them to an unknown location.

According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, security agents searched the homes and workplaces of some Baha’i citizens living in Karaj named Kamiar Habibi, Saman Ostvar, Muzaffar Nabili, Afif Naimi, Nasir Heravi and Sara Shaaban. In addition, the agents arrested Saman Ostvar and Afif Naimi and took them to an unknown place.

While searching the homes and workplaces of these Baha’i citizens, the security agents confiscated  some of their personal belongings, including mobile phones, electronic devices, and some Baha’i religion books.

In the past month, security and judicial entities have started a new and systematic wave of harassment and arrest of Baha’i citizens.

Afif Naimi has previously also been in prison for more than ten years .
