Breathing in Confinement: In recent days, Tayyebeh Nazari, a teacher at Bint Al-Hadi Sadr Girls’ High School, and her daughter, Maryam Arvin, a lawyer, were arrested by the security forces in Sirjan and taken to the city’s prison.
According to “Breathing in Confinement”, the news organ of the Prisoners’ Rights League in Iran, it has been more than ten days since Tayyebeh Nazari, a high school teacher, and Maryam Arvin, a lawyer, have been detained by the security forces in Sirjan after being beaten.
According to the reports received by Breathing in Confinement, Maryam Arvin and her mother Tayyebeh Nazari have been detained for more than ten days.
First, the security agents attempted to arrest Maryam Arvin, but her mother, Mrs. Tayyebeh Nazari, protested and prevented the arrest of her daughter, so that the security agents arrested her too.
The two are currently being kept in Sirjan prison and according to this report, both of them were beaten while being transferred to prison. The security forces grabbed Mrs. Arvin by her headscarf and dragged her to the ground.
The lawyer, Maryam Arvin, has been providing legal counsel to the families of detained prisoners in recent days.
